Boh Bros. began work in the St. Claude neighborhood in the 9th Ward of New Orleans in an effort to repair and improve roadways. The paving project is part of the larger Recovery Roads Program in the city to restore roads and sidewalks to their pre-Hurricane Katrina condition and is being funded by FEMA. Boh’s work is the third phase in a five phase project with a total estimated value of approximately $20.48 million for roadway improvements. The Boh team is performing a mixture of asphalt paving and concrete paving, as well as sidewalk and curb repair. They are reconstructing approximately 22,000 linear feet of roadway including 16,000 cubic yards of excavation, 16,000 cubic yards of base course, 42,000 square yards of asphaltic pavement, and 4,500 square yards of concrete roadway pavement.
